RKC: Gabriel did not appear to Muhammad(p) as a light. He appeared as a
man.
GodofVice007: How can you be sure it wasn't the devil himself?
RKC: I’m sure because I don’t believe the devil would produce the
message found in the Qur’an. I don’t find the Qur’an consistent with the
devil’s mission and don’t consider the devil to be even capable of producing
the Qur’an.
19. Verily this is the word of a most honourable
Messenger,
20. Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of
the Throne,
21. With authority there, (and) faithful to his
trust.
22. And (O people!) your companion is not one
possessed;
23. And without doubt he saw him in the clear
horizon.
24. Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge
of the Unseen.
25. Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed.
26. When whither go ye?
27. Verily this is no less than a Message to (all)
the Worlds:
28. (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go
straight:
GodofVice007: Couldn't it be possible he invented
the whole story for personal gain?
RKC: Please read the below quotes from this online biography.
“Initially, they
and other leaders of Quraish tried to bribe him with money and power including an offer to make him king
if he were to abandon his message. When this did not work, they tried to
convince his uncle Abu Talib to accept the best young man of Makkah in place of
Muhammad and to allow them to kill Muhammad. His uncle tried to persuade the
Prophet to stop preaching but the Prophet said: "O uncle, if they were to put the sun in my right
hand and the moon in my left hand to stop me from preaching Islam, I would
never stop. I will keep preaching until Allah makes Islam prevail or I die."”
The Prophet's possession consisted of mats, blankets, jugs and other simple
things even when he was the virtual ruler of Arabia. He left nothing to be inherited
except a white mule (a gift from Muqawqis), few ammunition and a piece of land
that he had made a gift during his life time. Among his last words were:
"We the community of Prophets are not inherited. Whatever we leave is for
charity."
BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET
MUHAMMAD (pbuh)
23. That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad
Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for
this except the love of those near of kin." And if any one earns
any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: for Allah
is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service).
57. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for it but this: that
each one who will may take a (straight) Path to his Lord."
104. And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a
message for all creatures.
47. Say: "No reward do I ask of you: it is (all) in your
interest: my reward is only due from Allah. And He is witness to all
things."
86. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor
am I a pretender.
GodofVice007: Where does Joseph Smith (pbuh) fit in
the equation?
RKC: Since you are wishing him peace and blessings, I assume you follow
his teachings, but……he fits into Islam’s “equation” as a false prophet.
40. Muhammad
is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets:
and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
“O
People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will
be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I
convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my Sunnah and if you follow
these you will never go astray.”
Prophet
Muhammad's (saws) Last Sermon
79. Then woe
to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is
from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what
their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.
