Verdi: P.S.  Muslims believe that the Quran is the eternal,

RKC: Can you show me what your source is for the Qur’an being eternal. I’ve only read how the The Father (S. 112:2), our record (S. 17:58), Heaven (S. 25:15), Hell (S. 41:28), and our life in heaven (S. 50:34) are eternal. After the Day of Judgement, I see no reason for the Qur’an.

Verdi: literal,

RKC: True. We believe it is The Father’s exact words.

Surah 4

82. Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy.

Verdi: unalterable

RKC: True. We believe the Qur’an is being protected.

Surah 15

9. We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).

Verdi: and final word of their Allah.

RKC: True. We believe Muhammad(p) is the last prophet. Hence, the Qur’an is the last revelation.

Prophet Muhammad's (saws) Last Sermon

“O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.”

Verdi: It defines Muslims in Surah III, 110 as "the best of nations".

RKC: This ayat defines those who do what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe only in The Father as “the best of peoples”.

Surah 3

110. Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.

Verdi: Surah VIII, 55 defines "kufr" (infidels including Christians) as "the vilest of animals".

RKC: What constitutes a kufr?

Verdi: Even as "people of the Book" Christians were and are relegated to an inferior and humiliating status as a despised caste in Muslim societies, obligated to assent to the alleged superiority of Muslims, to acknowledge their own inferiority,

RKC: Can you show me where Muhammad(p) supported  this?

Islamic Dealing With People of the Book

Verdi: and to pay the humiliation tax known as the "jisya". See Surah IX, 29

RKC: Please see below.

Surah 9

29. Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Footnotes for Verse 29
1281. Jizyah: the root meaning is compensation. The derived meaning, which became the technical meaning, was a poll tax levied from those who did not accept Islam, but were willing to live under the protection of Islam, and were thus tacitly willing to submit to its ideals being enforced in the Muslim State. There was no amount permanently fixed for it, and in any case it was merely symbolical- an acknowledgment that those whose religion was tolerated would in their turn not interfere with the preaching and progress of Islam. lmam Shafi suggests one dinar per year, which would be the Arabian gold dinar of the Muslim States, equivalent in value to about half a sovereign, or about 5 or 7 rupees. See n. 410 to 3:75. The tax varied in amount, and there were exemptions for the poor, for females and children (according to Abu Hanifah), for slaves, and for monks and hermits. Being a tax on able-bodied males of military age, it was in a sense a commutation for military service. But see the next note.

1282. An Yadin (literally, from the hand) has been variously interpreted. The hand being the symbol of power and authority, I accept the interpretation "in token of willing submission." The Jizyah was thus partly symbolic and partly a commutation for military service, but as the amount was insignificant and the exemptions numerous, its symbolic character predominated. See the last note.

Verdi: Islam does not recognize human or civil rights,

RKC: Can you show me where in the Qur’an your statement is supported?

Human Rights In Islam

Verdi: only religious rights as set forth in its foundation documents which place Muslims in a dominant position in society and all others below that.

RKC: Which “foundation documents” are these?

Verdi: All others enjoy whatever may be accorded them by way of privilege and at the sufferance of the Muslims and their leaders. This arrangement is sanctioned by religion, law and custom.

RKC: What is the source of this arrangement?

Verdi: The Christian populations of the Middle East, once dominant, have either vanished altogether or have been reduced to small minorities by forced conversions,

RKC: Forced conversions are forbidden in Islam.

Surah 2

256. Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

Surah 109

1. Say : O ye that reject Faith!

2. I worship not that which ye worship,

3. Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

4. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,

5. Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

6. To you be your Way, and to me mine.

Verdi: persecutions,

RKC: Persecution and oppression are forbidden in Islam.

Surah 2

190. Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.

191. And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

192. But if they cease, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

193. And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah. but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression.

Verdi: and emigration.

RKC: There are a lot of reasons for emigration.

Verdi: In recent decades the Christian communities in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East have been eroding at an accelerating rate through emigration due to increased pressure from militant Islam.

RKC: The “militant Islam” you speak of is not based on the Islam which Muhammad(p) preached.

Verdi: Europe, North America and Australia have all experienced increased immigration by Middle Eastern Christians seeking to escape discrimination and persecution at the hands of their Muslim neighbors.

RKC: Discrimination and persecution exist in every religion. I’ve showed you above how persecution is forbidden in Islam. Can you show me where it is forbidden in Christianity?

Verdi: In the United States about 74% of the Arabs are Christians and the remainder Muslims.

RKC: The sad part is a large number of the 74% you claim are Christian are probably discriminated just the same by American Christians because of the way they look.

Verdi: If current trends continue, the remnants of the ancient Christian Churches in Iraq and the Middle East will vanish. No longer will the chants of the ancient liturgies be heard. Then the wail of the muezzin will sound from the towers of the desecrated churches. Thus the final solution to the Christian presence in the Middle East will be achieved.

RKC: What was the problem? Muhammad(p) lived with people of different religions in Medina. No “solution to the Christian presence” was necessary unless Christians did not want peace.
